-Det er gledelig å se at sykefraværet på Agder går ned, og at Vest-Agder hadde landets største nedgang i sykefravær i 1. kvartal 2019, sier direktør i NAV Agder, Elisabeth Blørstad.
Vest-Agder har nå et sykefravær på 5,5 prosent, som er likt med landsgjennomsnittet. Aust-Agder har sykefravær på 5,8 prosent. Det legemeldte sykefraværet i Vest-Agder gikk ned fra 5,8 prosent i 1. kvartal 2018 til 5,5 prosent for samme periode i år. Dette tilsvarer en nedgang på 5 prosent.
I Aust-Agder gikk sykefraværet ned fra 5,9 prosent for første kvartal i fjor til 5,8 prosent for samme periode i år. Dette innebærer en nedgang på 2,6 prosent. Landet som helhet opplevde en nedgang på 1,4 prosent fra samme periode i fjor.
-Denne nedgangen skyldes delvis at en kort influensasesong førte til kraftig nedgang i luftveislidelser. Vi vet også at arbeidsmarkedet påvirker sykefraværet. I Agder har vi hatt en svært positiv utvikling det siste året og har nå lav ledighet og stor aktivitet. En tredje faktor er at Agder har en høy andel sykefravær med gradert sykemelding, noe som har vi ser har betydning for at folk kommer raskere tilbake i jobb. Vest-Agder har 26 prosent sykefraværstilfeller med gradert sykmelding, mens andelen i Aust-Agder var på 24 prosent. Agder ligger med dette godt over landsgjennomsnittet på 22,7 prosent, sier Blørstad.
I Aust-Agder hadde Valle (4,4 prosent) det laveste sykefraværet, mens Froland (7,5 prosent) lå høyest. Gjerstad (fra 7,0 til 4,8 prosent) hadde størst nedgang med -31,1 prosent, mens Åmli gikk fra 6,7 prosent til 5,0 (-24,8 prosent).
I Vest-Agder hadde Sirdal (4,8 prosent) lavest fravær, mens Songdalen, Marnardal og Lindesnes lå høyest med 6,4 prosent. Størst nedgang var det i Audnedal (fra 8,2 til 6,3 prosent, en nedgang på 23,1 prosent) og i Marnardal (7,9 til 6,4 prosent, en nedgang på 18,2 prosent).
I den nye avtalen om inkluderende arbeidsliv (IA) er det et mål å få sykefraværet ned med ti prosent i avtaleperioden fra 2019 til 2022.
-Vi har fokus på å få ned sykefraværet. Vi er avhengig av å fortsette det gode samarbeidet med arbeidsgiverne og mobilisere for å redusere og forebygge sykefravær, sier direktør i NAV Agder, Elisabeth Blørstad.
