I 2. kvartal 2019 var det legemeldte sykefraværet på 5,1 prosent i Buskerud. Det er en økning på 0,3 prosent sammenlignet med samme periode i 2018. Sykefraværet for landet var på 4,9 prosent, en økning på 2,2 prosent.
Det legemeldte sykefraværet i 2. kvartal representerte 348 327 tapte dagsverk i Buskerud. Det var innen diagnosegruppene muskel-/skjelettlidelser (36,6 %) og psykiske lidelser (23,2 %) at vi så den største andelen tapte dagsverk.
Geografiske forskjeller
Det er forskjeller i sykefraværet blant de ulike kommunene i Buskerud. Det høyeste sykefraværet hadde Nedre Eiker med 6,0 prosent, Krødsherad med 5,9 prosent og Flesberg med 5,8 prosent. Kommunene med det laveste sykefraværet var Nore og Uvdal med 3,8 prosent og Kongsberg med 4,2 prosent.
Høyest sykefravær for kvinner
Sykefraværet for kvinner var på 6,7 prosent i Buskerud. Menn hadde et sykefravær på 3,8 prosent. Sammenlignet med samme periode i fjor, var det en økning i sykefraværet for menn, mens sykefraværet for kvinner gikk ned. En del av forskjellen mellom kvinner og menn kan forklares med svangerskapsrelaterte sykdommer og at det er flere kvinner som jobber i næringer med høyt sykefravær, særlig innen helse- og omsorg.
Næringer
Næringen med det høyeste sykefraværet var helse- og sosialtjenester, der sykefraværet var på
7,6 prosent. Deretter fulgte næringene undervisning, transport og lagring, samt forretningsmessig tjenesteyting, alle med et sykefravær på 5,4 prosent. Sammenlignet med 2. kvartal 2018 var det næringen jordbruk, skogbruk og fiske som hadde den største økningen i sykefraværet.
Gradert sykefravær
27,6 prosent av de sykmeldte i Buskerud hadde en gradert sykmelding. Det var en marginal nedgang sammenlignet med 2. kvartal 2018. Det var flere kvinner enn menn som hadde gradert sykmelding.
