Do you need an interpreter?
You may be entitled to a language interpreter or an interpreter for the deaf, hearing impaired and deafblind when you have a conversation with Nav.
You have the right to an interpreter in contact with Nav if you do not understand what is being said and cannot communicate your needs. This applies to both interpreters in different languages and interpreters for the deaf, hearing impaired and deafblind.
Nav uses professional interpreters. Family, friends and children cannot interpret for you.

If you are going to have a meeting with Nav, it is Nav that is responsible for assessing whether you need an interpreter and will order the interpreter.
Contact Nav if you think you need an interpreter for a meeting or conversation. It does not cost anything to use an interpreter.
