The Aa register is a basic data register of employment relationships in Norway that Nav owns and manages. The register is available to public agencies and some private actors.

Actors who have gained access to services from the Aa register, or actors who want access to or have questions about the Aa register, can contact Nav through the service User support for the Aa register's distribution solutions.

Nav has a duty of confidentiality. You can apply for access to information or case documents on behalf of someone else.

If the municipality assumes care and control of a child, the municipality may claim a fostering contribution from the parents, provided they are able to pay and it is reasonable given the circumstances. The municipality may also apply for a fostering contribution if the child is place in care outside the home with the parents’ consent, without the municipality formally assuming care and control.

You can tip Nav about possible benefit fraud. You can choose to give tips anonymously or be open about your identity.

Healthcare institutions, retirement homes, nursing homes and prisons have a duty to submit reports to Nav about all admissions and discharges.
